IPL 2023 Team: Complete Squads of all IPL Teams

IPL 2023 Team

Ten city-based franchise clubs compete in the annual Indian Premier Competition (IPL), which is a men’s Twenty20 (T20) cricket competition. For sponsorship purposes, the league is also known as the TATA IPL. The league was started in 2007 by the BCCI. Every year, the competition is typically conducted in the summer, between March and May. Because fewer international cricket tours take place during IPL seasons worldwide, it has a special slot in the ICC Future Tours Programmer.

IPL 2023 Team

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most watched cricket league globally; in terms of average attendance, it came in sixth place among all sports leagues in 2014. The Indian Premier League was the first sports event to be streamed live on YouTube in 2010.

IPL 2023 Team: History

Zee Entertainment Enterprises funded the establishment of the Indian Cricket League (ICL) in 2007. The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) did not acknowledge the ICL, and the BCCI was not happy about members of its committee joining the ICL executive board. The BCCI raised the prize money for domestic competitions to deter players from entering the ICL. They also placed lifetime bans on any player who joined the rival league, which they deemed to be a rebel league.

Following India’s success at the 2007 Twenty20 World Cup, the BCCI announced on September 13, 2007, the launch of the Indian Premier League, a franchise-based Twenty20 cricket league. In April 2008, a “high-profile ceremony” was planned to kick off the first season in New Delhi. The IPL campaign was spearheaded by BCCI vice-president Lalit Modi, who gave information about the competition’s structure, prize money, franchise revenue structure, and squad makeup guidelines. The seven-member governing board would oversee the new competition, also serving as the qualifying system for the Champions Competition Twenty20 that year.
